To get right to the point, our grind and coating is capable of 800 ipm on 17-4 stainless steel, 250 ipm on 718 inconel, 450 ipm on 4340 all with excellent tool life. Original carbide quality plays a part in this, but most brands work well. We also do extremely well in hardmilling situations up to 65Rc.
